    2020 Louis Latour Releases

The Latour family are long established in Burgundy's wine trade. They began as vine growers in the village of Aloxe-Corton as early as 1760s and went on to establish today's business, Maison Louis Latour, in 1797. Today they are one of the region's most famous names, creating wines from their own 50 hectare domaine in the Côte d'Or and from grapes and wines purchased through the negociant arm of the business. They also produce all their own barrels at their small, traditional cooperage in Savigny-Lès-Beaune.

The company has been in family ownership for 11 generations and is now led by the seventh person to take the name Louis Latour. He is ably supported by head winemaker Jean Charles Thomas and domaine director Christophe Deola.

We are pleased to offer a selection of some of their 2020 vintage wines at the best market prices.

2020 Louis Latour Volnay 1er Cru En Chevrot – GBP 360 per 6x75cl IB
    (10 Cases Available)

Firm reduction renders the nose unreadable. More interesting are the finer if less concentrated middle weight flavors that exude evident minerality on the focused, detailed and youthfully austere finish. This is quite firmly structured and a wine that's going to need at least 5 to 7 years of patience and should reward 10+. 90-93 Points BH Outstanding April 2022

2020 Domaine Louis Latour Pommard 1er Cru Les Epenots – GBP 420 per 6x75cl IB
    (10 Cases Available)

Ripe extract of plum is suffused with hints of earth, spice and an interesting wisp of black pepper. There is good richness, size and weight to the unusually refined medium-bodied flavors that possess a bit more mid-palate density, all wrapped in a seductive, lingering and sappy finish. This is very good. 91-93 Points BH Outstanding April 2022

2020 Louis Latour Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Les Suchots – GBP 560 per 6x75cl IB
    (10 Cases Available)

Moderate wood stops short of fighting with the very spicy aromas of cassis and dark berry fruit coulis. The velvety and palate soaking middle weight plus flavors possess a seductive texture while offering more volume and power if less minerality on the ever-so-mildly warm but lengthy finale that is similarly structured. 90-93 Points BH Outstanding April 2022

2020 Domaine Louis Latour Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Les Petits Monts – GBP 550 per 6x75cl IB (10 Cases Available)

Firm reduction overshadows the nose though there is a really lovely inner mouth perfume to the vibrant, delineated and stony medium-bodied flavors that are noticeably firmer on the youthfully austere, balanced and impressively lengthy finale. Good stuff that should repay extended keeping. 91-93 Points BH Outstanding April 2022
