Louis Jadot 2015's

We are able to offer;

Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru "Clos St Jacques", Domaine Louis Jadot – 10 Cases Available @ GBP 680 per 6x75cl IB

Interestingly, and particularly so given the generally high level of expressiveness of many of the prior wines, this is all but mute and requires aggressive swirling to reveal ripe yet elegant and airy aromas of red currant, spice, smoke, wet stone and a hint of underbrush. There is evident refinement to the mineral-driven and caressing medium-bodied flavors that exhibit lovely delineation on the mildly austere, firm and beautifully well-balanced and lingering finale. This is very classy with a Zen-like sense of harmony. 92-95 Points, Sweet Spot Outstanding, BH April 2017

Bonnes Mares Grand Cru, Domaine Louis Jadot – 1 Case Available @ GBP 1500 per 6x75cl IB

Strong wood and menthol characters bury the fruit at present. On the plus side the exceptionally rich and concentrated broad-shouldered flavors possess outstanding amounts of dry extract that impart a velvety texture to the plush finish that is slightly sweet due to the generous wood treatment. Note that like several wines reviewed above that my projected range assumes the underlying material is up to the job of successfully absorbing the wood treatment. 93-95 Points, Don’t Miss BH April 2017

Clos Saint Denis Grand Cru, Domaine Gagey  - 1 Case Available @ GBP 1250 per 6x75cl IB

Here the generous wood treatment is borderline intrusive as the menthol element all but dominates the markedly spicy and ripe dark berry fruit aromas. The medium-bodied flavors are even richer than those of the Clos de la Roche and more refined as well though, as one might reasonably expect, less powerful before culminating in a highly seductive and strikingly complex finale. This beauty isn't quite as structured but it should have no difficulty rewarding from 15 to 20 years of bottle age. 92-95 Points BH April 2017

Montrachet Grand Cru (packed in 3's) –  2 Cases Available  @ GBP 1175 per 3x75cl IB

This is all but mute today and still notably primary as only aggressive swirling can coax the reluctant aromas of pear, honey, white peach, oak and floral scents to reveal themselves. In the same fashion as the nose, the big, opulent and ultra-intense broad-shouldered flavors also remain extremely backward and tight yet the palate staining finish is hugely persistent and already offers unusually fine complexity for a young Montrachet. This too is extremely impressive but note well that it's built-to-age and is going to need at least 5 to 7 years first. 93-95 Points, BH June 2017
